The Canopy walkway consists of three bridges and three towers and is a total length of the walkway is 200m. The walkway is embedded in a guided tour along Igishigishigi Trail. Taking this tour, a specialized Park Guide will not only show you the forest canopy but also explain why it is an integral part of the tropical rainforest ecosystem. You will learn what the major characteristics of rainforest and its canopy are and the importance Nyungwe Forest has for Rwanda.
17h00: Return to the resort in the evening.
Dinner will follow. Overnight stay.

Pick up from the hotel by 07h30 after your breakfast and set off for the park headquarters.
Arrive in time for briefing before you start your waterfall hike which starts at 09h00.
The Waterfall Trail is a stunner of a hike and one of the highlights of Nyungwe. It starts from the Gisakura side of the park and takes three to five hours. The trail winds up and down steep hillsides through primaeval looking 'Hollywood' style rainforest, where the trees are festooned in vines and the air is heavy and damp.
Ascend from the waterfall at midday. Rejoin your driver-guide at the park office and proceed to the resort.
Arrive in time for lunch. Have a brief rest.
15h00: Have a guided walking tour in the gisakura tea plantation. This will include learning the crop to cup process.
When you return to the resort, you will participate in a tea ceremony.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Rise at 05h00 and proceed to park headquarters in time for guided chimpanzee walk that starts at 06h00.
Nyungwe is home to one of East Africa's last intact populations and boasts two wild chimp communities that welcome guests (one in Cyamdungo and other around Uwinka). Thus, it's not surprising that chimpanzee tracking is a popular activity in Nyungwe (especially when the park's trees are in full bloom during the summer) as well-trained guides often lead visitors through the park's forests. And while actually viewing chimpanzees is not guaranteed, you'll enjoy learning about these creatures and their natural habitats from your guides.
once done proceed to the resort in time for late breakfast and lunch.
The afternoon is at leisure to relax or take part in one of the complimentary activities offered e.g. Boot camp spear throwing, Conservation Walk, Umuganda Community Participation, Exploring by bicycle or Nyungwe Nocturnal walk. (These activities apply to One & Only Nyungwe House Only).
Dinner and overnight stay.
